Sex and the City II !

Image
Attention Girls~! Four sexy goddesses are back! Yesterday, I went to Odeon with my friends to enjoy the visual feast Sex and the City II brought to us. I have been looked forward for this movie for a month, thus went straight to the cinema right after it was on. It turned out to be totally worth the waiting!! The scenes are much glamorous than the previous one, and the scenarios are even funnier. Ok, ok, less talking, as I do not want to reveal too much. My recommendation to the girls who have not watched the SATC II yet: go right now and enjoy it!Of course, do not forget to bring a big box of popcorn with you! Short Trip to Near Norwich vol. 3

Image
Hello, how are you doing?? Recentry, the weather is really nice! It looks like summer! Approximately 2 weeks ago, it was really cold- but now, it is hot- so I realise that IT IS ENGLISH WEATHER. So, today's short trip is not "short" trip- because I think you will finish your examination soon, so I will introduce you the near country which we can go there from UK within 2 hours. You will be free, and then the travel season is coming soon!! Netherlands The flight time from England to Netherlands is less than 1 hour. The famous things in Netherlands are tulip an wind mill. Also, the artists are famous such as Gogh, Vermeer and so on. That is, if you like to see something "beautiful" or "Interesting", or "Impressive", you can enjoy Netherlands very much. Also, the food in Netherlands is really "interesting". Of course Duch food such like herring, mart ball and great redwine!!, but accrfing to the some guidebook, the Indnesian dish is t

Last Exam Ever

Today, I'm going to sit for the last exam of my undergraduate life EVER. This feels really good but what feels even better is the thought that come half past five, we will all be sitting in the Square with a cold pint, laughing and getting tipsy. Hopefully, the sun will still be shining. For now, I'm yammering away in the International Office and trying to remember as many Latin words as is studently possible. Cheers, UEA Malaysian Ambassador
Summer has it foot firmly in the door, and after the loooonnnnnggg winter, the warm bright sun is MOST welcome! Nothing can definitely go wrong, (well not all that wrong!) so to those still on the last legs of exams, goodluck! For those travelling, have a blast! summer partying - break a leg! Through it all don't forget to go the extra mile to put a smile on someones face!

Short Trip to Near Norwich vol.2

Image
Hello, how are you doing your examination? I saw a lot of people, who will take examination (Business?), in front of international office. And some of them looked like... "Why do I need to take examination?? It is really sunny today! And it is hot!! I want to go to Sea!!!" So, today's topic is "Short Trip to Near Norwich vol. 2"- I will suggest you some short trip from Norwich (From Norwich to distnation is about 1 hour)! 1: Cambridge Everyone knows this city because of the University of Cambridge! Do you know how many famous scholars who graduate from this university?? I can not show..because it is too many to write here! Also, Cambridge "City" is really beautiful- it looks like the Middle Age- if you go and see the city and take a bort in beautiful river under the sun, you will be enchanted by Cambridge!! 2: Peterborough This city is one of the interchange station to go to Scotland. However, this is so wasteful if you think Peterborough is just &quo

Red Ball, Gomito:Fish & NoFit State Circus!

Image
Yesterday, Kurt Perschke's Red Ball came to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art! It's part of the Norwich & Norfolk Festival and is moving all around the fine city. Last week, I watched Gomito:Fish with friends at the boating lake which was funny and very well performed with puppets. After that, we watched NoFit State Circus - "the greatest little show on earth". The festival is ending soon and so will exam season. Time to get a summer job! Cheers, UEA Malaysian Ambassador

Finally The Trip to Buckingham Palace happened!

Image
It was sometime in February this year when the School of International Development attended a prestigious Award Ceremony at Buckingham Palace where the Queen presented the Award in commemoration of the Schools contribution to the Developing World through research and work in Povery Reduction. I was very fortunate to have been asked to attend the ceremony and it was a great pleasure to have a chat with her majesty later on in the Picture Gallery.

Congratulations Norway!

The Norwegian Constitution Day (commonly referred to simply as the seventeenth of May ) is an official holiday every year. The celebration is to commemorate the signing of the Norwegian constitution in 1814, which declared Norway to be an independent nation. The most striking features of the celebration are all the parades, marching bands, people in national costumes, flags, hot dogs and ice cream. There are parades all over Norway on 17 th May, many of which are broadcasted on Norwegian TV. They mainly consist of children, and the largest parade, first introduced in 1870, is the one marching the streets of Oslo and past the Royal Palace. This year it will consist of children, teachers and marching bands from 109 elementary and secondary schools. Each school has it's own banner, the children carry flags, sing the national anthem and other songs associated with the celebration. The only military element of the day, is the performances by the Royal Guard's drill squad and m

Weather

Image
Hello! Now almost students are in examination period. How about your examination? I think the "weather" influence on your motivation for examination- if it is rain in examination day, you are depressed, but if it is sunny, you are positive to take examination. However, it is really strange weather in England nowadays- BBC caster said "It is MAY not be MAY"- yes, I think it is May not be May in England. Anyway, today's topic is weather- I will talk about "weather trivia" (Tribia means unimportant or obscure information) 1: Why is the sky blue? - This is because of the function of PRISM: A prism splits visible light into the colors of the spectrum. This pectrum influence on our vision, and the color is looked "ike" blue- so, if the spectuum is not blue but red, the sky would have Red Sky-. anyway, it is difficult to explain the function of prism, but please notice, the color of sky is not reflected to the color of Sea!! 2: Can ants forecast wea

Because I won't be here over the summer, I'm going to just throw this out there a bit in advance: should you be craving fireworks in the near future, finding yourself unable to wait for Bonfire Night in far-off November, or just needing an excuse for a barbeque, you can sate yourself with a Fourth of July party! I know it seems a bit cheeky to celebrate in the former motherland, but I think all parties involved can, 234 years later, just laugh about it over a can of Bud. You can toss some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, throw together American picnic and barbeque fodder like potato salad, sliced watermelon, corn on the cob, and apple pie, and seriously have yourself an awesome time. The Fourth of July - officially in the states known as Independence Day - epitomizes the American summer by not only commemorating our country's Independence, but by forcing people all across the nation to just relax with a pile of ribs, the sun, and family and friends. By night, in any ma

Iron Man 2: Funny?

Image
Hey guys, I know that this is the time for exams but to relieve my stress from studying, I went to the cinema to watch Iron Man 2!! I came out from the cinema laughing instead as it was very very funny as compared to the first Iron Man movie! :) The casts for Iron Man 2 were similar but with addition of new casts obviously including Scarlett Johansson. The plot this time was more of a comedy than action but it lifts our spirits up especially at the time like this! One character that I really find it amusing was the man who play the CEO of Hammer Industries. His character was more of a jealous type of person where he was very jealous of Tony Spark's achievement throughout those years and his plot of using the bad guy to make more Iron Man 'robots' to destroy Tony Spark but in the end he was betrayed and ended up in jail! Hahaha.. There is other information about the movie here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1228705/ This movie gave me strength to continue on my battle for my u

Film Review- Big Fish

Image
A fancy-comedy drama directed by Tim Burton and released on the year 2003. This is one of my favourite movies in my life. Although it is not a big cast movie, I like the message delivered. The father (Edward Bloom) tells the same tale he has told many times over the years, to him and to anyone else. The Son (Will) is annoyed and felt unable to trust his father. The father -son relationship became worse year after year, and they have not been talking to each other for three years. Until when his father lie in the hospital, he tried to figure out the truth behind. He starts realising that he did not understand his father in the past. I do understand what Will think, in the perspective of a daughter or a son. In a family, the role of a father is to guide and protect their children. Most of the children expect a father to have good reputation (at least do not tell lies or to do what has been promised to the children). Having a father who always tell lies or exaggerating things will j

Because traveling cheap is the way to go!

I've been flipping through the past few posts on here and thought I'd add my voice the masses - everyone should travel this summer! I know it's exams right now, but sometimes it helps you get through the worst of them to e nvision yourself on vacation afterwords, and should you be looking to save money on your trip to wherever, I just wanted to post a link to STA Travel on here. STA Travel is a travel booking website specifically designed with students and under 26's in mind. You can save tons of money by booking through them - they're who I use every time I head back to California - and unlike with airlines like Ryanair, there aren't loads of tiny rules and they usually fly into major airports. STA has specific websites for different countries as well as a Worldwide website for those whose country isn't listed. Once you go to the site, you can choose your country using the drop-down box in the top right-hand corner. Anyway! I hope everyone's exams go fa
