Balanced and low-cost diet for a busy student

Image
Low-cost YET nutritious meals for a BUSY student life As a student ambassador, I usually get questions about living expense s, especially about meals and food , from prospective students and their parents. Personally speaking, how to have a balanced diet, yet not so time- or money-consuming, has been one of my major concerns.   Additionally, pursuing a PhD life for me means working in the lab from 8:30 till 5 every day in the week, and usually after that, I have no energy left to cook nice meals. For a couple of months, my food was decent and balanced but BORING! Also, I honestly did not enjoy the process of thinking what to cook every day; it indeed bugged me a lot since I found it hard to concentrate on work when I had to calculate what to cook to make sure I would have something to please my hanger after 30 or 45 minutes I got home.   I believe this is common for many of students as well, regardless of the study level, because an undergraduate can be super busy if there

Brussles Trip with UEA

BRUSSELS TRIP WITH THE UEA Students who study PPL at the UEA can take part in trips such as Brussels or Geneva.  I have chosen going to Brussels because it is more suitable with my career what I want.  Brussels is amazing and it is the centre for political institutions for example the European Parliament and NATO's headquarter.  I do not want to write about the city itself but the trip with the UEA. Yes, the city was nice and helpful for my studies but besides that I had so much fun with my UEA colleagues. I met new friends, who I will keep in touch maybe forever.  Also, our guider were so friendly and well organized. They tried their best that students can have fun. I am here only for one year, and this Brussels trip became one of the best memories during my staying in the UK.      Thank you UEA!

I was walking to the shop yesterday, enjoying the flowers just starting to bloom in my neighbourhood garden, when it hit me — Spring is here in Norwich! Spring is my favourite season. I love the change in the weather, the foliage, the sense of purpose that fills the air as people reach graduation. It's the perfect time to wander through Earlham and Eaton Parks on campus or venture out into  Strumpshaw Fen nature reserve.   There is plenty to love about spring in Norwich, and if this is the only spring you'll get to experience here, you don't want to miss the best events. Image from https://pxhere.com/en/photo/410039 Spring Literary Festival Technically, this is already ongoing, but I'm still excited about what's to come.  Christie Watson and  Emma Healey will be returning to campus and we'll welcome American writers  Madeline Miller and  Jesmyn Ward. Topping Stephen Fry's appearance to open the festival will be difficult, but I think they&
