Summer Fun
There is so much to do in Norwich, England and the UK in the summer time. As many people head home for the summer, I tend to stick around as my PhD programme runs the full academic year. During my free time, I like to take day trips to Cromer, a lovely little seaside village on the North Norfolk Coast, where you can get wonderful fish and chips or famous Cromer Crabs; to London, as it's only a 2 hour journey by train; and to Cambridge, which is just 1 hour away by train. Of course, there are other things happening in Norwich during the summer: Lord Mayor's Procession, which typically occurs around the American national holiday 4th of July and often features a parade, fireworks and lots of activities for everyone; the Lane's Fayre, where vendors from around Norfolk come to sell their wares. If travelling further afield is more your scene, you can grab a train to Scotland, connecting via Peterborough and on up to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, etc... You could even tak...
