The New Decade Begins
Spring semester is off to a white and chilly start.
New international students arrived last Wednesday and Thursday to icy pavements and snowy fields in the coldest winter for 30 years in Britain! Fortunately, the residences are a bit cosier than an icy pond.
Despite the East Anglian region being blanketed in snow for more than a week, all transportation continued to run, and everyone has made it to their new city safely and hopefully had a chance to look around and do some start-of-semester retail therapy.
This view is from the tower of one of the 36 mediaeval churches in the city and looks over the River Wensum toward the Anglican cathedral.
