We finally were able to bring back UEA Mauritian Society! 
One of our aims in setting up this society was to be able to support NGOs back in our home country, and the one we are supporting this year is Caritas.

A little bit about Caritas:
It is a NGO back in our home country which we will be supporting and fundraising for through our events throughout the year.
The aims are:
  • To provide basic necessities for youth: by providing a youth space (keeping kids off the street), free breakfast and lunch meals, a free daycare centre allowing parents to go to work
  • To encourage education: free IT and internet resources
  • To provide therapy for abused women through organic farming: profits of the vegetables go to the ladies
  • To sell the basic commodities at a lower budget e.g rice, milk, pulses, flour...

All these services are ONLY available to people who have had their economic background checked and after a consultation with a psychologist. to confirm that they are in need of such services.

We hope we succeed in our mission and bring a change to these people.
