Menemen ! Delicious - Easy - Quick

Hi everyone, today I am going to tell you how can you cook one of very delicious Turkish foods called as `menemen` ! You can cook it for your breakfast, lunch or dinner. It can be the best choice for you and your friends.

Ingredients (serves 4 )

  • 1 onion
  • 2 peppers
  • 6-7 tomatoes
  • 3 or 4 eggs
  • quarter cup of sunflower oil or quarter package butter or you can use both of them because in my opinion butter makes it tastier. However, If you don't like butter you can use just sunflower oil.
  • salt
  • black pepper

Preperation

Firstly, we should chop pepper and onion into small pieces. Normally, I was adding the onion first into heated pan when I was cooking it in Turkey. But I noticed that peppers are thicker than Turkey`s so they are frying later than onions. Therefore, we should add pepper to pan first. after 3 minutes we should add the chopped onions to pan.

while our peppers and onions are frying we should peel the tomatoes and chopped them into small pieces too. Peeling tomatoes is very important because otherwise tomatoes skin will change the taste.

After 2-3 minutes we should add our chopped tomatoes into pan and we should wait until tomatoes` juice start to boil. Then we should add our eggs. If you do not like to see egg yolks on your food, you can whisk eggs before add them to your pan and I can say that it is my favourite style!

Add your salt and black pepper !

After 5 minutes it is ready to serve !
