A Place of Wonderful Treasures: Home!!

Hello everyone!

Its the 2nd week of the 2nd Semester! Its time to tell stories! =D

During the X'mas holidays, I went back home to Brunei i.e. Home to celebrate Christmas and New Year. It was short one month holiday but it was definitely worth it despite the long flight hours and of course the unforgettable Jet-lag sessions!

I was lucky enough on the day I left Heathrow. It was the start of one of the worst ever snowstorm to occur in the UK in history. My flight was delayed for about an hour and it few off just hours before the snowstorm hit London! But nevertheless, I was glad I made it home!

Brunei is a place, not much on shopping but more on its food, culture and environment. Sight-seeing is a must in Brunei and exploring the wonders of its aborigines people is most definitely interesting. Brunei is located on an island that looks like a chicken on the map, called Borneo Island. It is situated in between two East Malaysian states, Sabah and Sarawak, and above Kalimantan, an Indonesian state. It's population is very small and mostly consists of Muslims, Chinese, Indians and other local communities. The main religion of Brunei is Islam and the national language in Bahasa Melayu (same as Malaysia).

One of the reasons I decided to go back for X'mas was that I missed all the local delicacies the Brunei has to offer. There's thousands of local Brunei food of which if you're stopping by into Brunei, these are the MUST few dishes that you have to try during your stay here in Brunei.

Our very own famous Ambuyat!
Local delicacies including Beef Rendang, Kurmas, and Curries!
 Local fruit: Durian
 Local food again: Ketupat
 Local Chicken Curry!

Local Handmade Brunei cakes!

Local glutinous rice: Pulut Panggang!

Aren't all these food appetizing? :D
