Norwich Mind’s Festival of Cultures - David Armstrong

Held in the gardens of the Heartsease headquarters of Norwich Mind, the international Festival of Cultures on Saturday, 14th August celebrated the wealth and diversity of multicultural arts and cuisine from around the city. Part of Norwich Mind’s Inclusion Project, the event, opened by Derek James, Sheriff of Norwich, attracted sumptuous displays of food from around the world, including Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, India, Lithuania, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan and Russia. International “gazebos” exhibited wide ranges of products from these and other nations and cultures, while crowds were entertained on stage by nonstop displays of dance, music, magic and drama. Besides sampling the culinary delights and receiving impromptu dance, juggling, stilt-walking and hula-hoop lessons, members of the public were invited to attend free sessions of therapy and massage in adjacent marquees. Job-hunting as a foreigner

People, no matter how different, tend to have the same concerns when they're thinking about making the crazy jump from home to abroad. Among what I'd rank the top five concerns is finding a job. I tend to think finding a job is a pretty trying task even when you're in your home country - throw in living in a foreign one, and feeling like a complete noob, and it takes on a whole new level of crazy. There's nothing quite like walking up to a counter, CV in hand, trying to make a good impression but really just despairing of the process entirely. But despair not! Getting a job is all about you . If you don't have the motivation, persistence, and confidence, it's not going to happen. So all you have to do is be your amazing self (dressed smartly, of course) and win people over. Freezing summer

this year seems the sunshine doesnt shine a lot in summer season. with 21 celcius degree on average in the daylight and 12 celcius degree on average in daynight, seems this year is not a real summer. I can t find any explanation why this thing happens,maybe its because of global warming effect, maybe its because a regular world temperature circulation. well who knows? but for sure this condition is a rare things happen. hope next year, a warmer weather we could have here in UK
