Live your SPRING 2012 campaign

Image
I dedicate my drawing to all of you International Students at UEA. I find my life as a student can be a very stressful one, especially when all the deadlines just come across in the same period of time. Nevertheless, all should be paid off at the end. Pay all your efforts of this spring and live to your fullest and make you life colourful. Challenge your mind everyday. The painting resembles meanings, which you might be interested to take into account. Orange as (L) resembles courage: do one thing that scares you everyday and you will see the magic of yourself just come out. Purple (I) resembles freedom: do not limit yourself with you think you cannot do Red (V) resembles natural flow: follow your heart and you will find your way Mixture blend colour (E) resembles diversity: find harmony and live with it Yellow strike resembles energy: eat nicely and share your energy and spirit with others Green dots resembles sustainability: act sustainably and do not do harm to natur...

Nearly in Spring!

Image
Winter in England is nearly gone. Soon we will be in spring. This change in temperature here at UEA is noticeable and the sunny and "longer" days are also the sign of this coming spring.:) Only a few weeks to go before this semester ends. We can really feel how quickly this academic year is going by. In a few days it will be the Easter Holidays and after happily eating lots of chocolates, we will enter the exams period and finish another year at University! Best wishes, Suri Mauritian Students Ambassador

Eaton Park

Though I have been enjoying th e Winter Olympics (9 gold medals to Norway:D), spring is just ar ound the corner, and I desperately want it to hurry up. It's so much nicer once the sun is out and the flo wers aren't battled down by snow, rain and cold weather. Because of the beauty of it, I try to take the time to walk through Eaton Park on my way to and from campus, and I would definitely re commend other people to visit the park. It’s situated just a couple of minutes from the university, and the park, w hich was opened in 1928, has a lot to offer. Whether you're in the mood for playing football with friends, have a cup of coffee fr om Café Essence, watch the Norwich Model Boat Club racing each other, book a pitch for cricket, croquet, ten nis or bowls, Eaton Park is the place to go. It even has a miniature railway open every Sunday from Easter to mid-October, though I suspect being a university student makes me too old for trying it, but I don't know whether they...

Almost Spring!

Image
It's not quite Spring yet but it's already a little warmer in the daytime these days! And a little brighter :) It's been the coldest January in 37-ish years and it's almost over. The bulbs we planted in our little garden haven't come out yet (it's still too early) so sometimes I get a small bunch at the florist near Iceland at the top of St Stephen's. Defo one of my favourite places in Norwich. Go home and give them a little bath in the sink then pop them into an assortment of wine bottles. Gerbera Daisies! Daffodils! Irises! Roses! Carnations! The New Decade Begins

Image
Spring semester is off to a white and chilly start. New in ternational students arrived last Wednesday and Thursday to icy pavements and snowy fields in the coldest winter for 30 years in Britain! Fortunately, the residences are a bit cosier than an icy pond. Despite the East Anglian region being blanketed in snow for more than a week, all transportation continued to run, and everyone has made it to their new city safely and hopefully had a chance to look around and do some start-of-semester retail therapy. This view is from the tower of one of the 36 mediaeval churches in the city and looks over the River Wensum toward the Anglican cathedral .
