Canoeing!

The weather is brilliant lately! Despite all the revision we have to do, it's always a good thing to stop for a while and enjoy it while it lasts! (this is England after all!)

So, in order to take full advantage of it, I spent last Sunday canoeing at the Norfolk Broads!

I rented the canoe from Wroxham, so I spent most of the time travelling up and down the river Bure and the Bridge Broad. This is a lovely little town which is 15 minutes by train from Norwich. There's plenty of pubs and eateries, and even a department store!

What a lovely sunny day!

A curious swan decided to inspect our canoe closely

The canoe is moored in this photo--you can also take a small walk and inspect the banks if you feel like it!

It is also possible to rent motorboats, but canoeing is a great way to exercise and sail almost silently through the water. It also means teamwork, as it takes (at least) two people to properly move in a straight line!

So if you are at a loss of ideas but don't want to spend a gorgeous day locked up in your room, give the Norfolk Broads a chance! There is more information at http://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/
