Economics Society Christmas Ball

So balls are quite a British thing where everyone gets to dress up very fancy and we all have a wonderful three course meal. Many clubs and societies hold either Christmas Balls so during the autumn term or Summer Balls during the spring term.

I'm part of the Economics Society committee so we organised our annual Christmas Ball for our Economics Society members and for the School of Economics lecturers as well. This year it was held at the Norwich Football Stadium so that was very cool as the venue was overlooking the football stadium.

Upon arrival at the reception, there were many free glasses of Prosseco so that was very nice for everyone and we all took some pictures. A while after, we sat down for our three course meal and there was also complimentary wine on all the tables. We had soup for our starter, a chicken in mango and pilau rice for our main, and then brownies for dessert. There were also christmas crackers on the tables so we all had the christmas hats.

After the meal, we just danced and chatted with everyone else, especially with the lecturers which was extra fun! I would definitely recommend attending a ball before leaving UEA.
