Budapest Christmas Trip

Over the Christmas holidays, my friends and I visited the beautiful city of Budapest for 4 days. We did a lot of sightseeing in those 4 days. We visited the Parliament, the Castle/National Gallery, Matthias Church, House of Terror Museum, the Central Market Hall, the Chain Bridge,Szechenyi Baths and Pool and even went on a night river cruise down the River Danube. It was just a very fulfilling cultural and such a pretty city.

 

The House of Terror Museum deserves a special mention because it was genuinely one of the best museums I have been to as it was very well put together, thought-provoking, terrifying museum about the double occupation of Budapest by the Nazis and the Soviet Union and what the people of Hungary had to go through.

I would highly recommend visiting Budapest or at least one of the Eastern European countries which I think are highly underrated in terms of European destinations.
