Travelling by train in the UK

I love travelling by trains. They’re much faster, more comfortable and you can do more things while sitting on a train, like reading a book or chatting with your travel partners. I used to travel a lot by train during my A-level days, as I used to live in the South of England and train tickets are a lot cheaper there. However, trains in East Anglia can be bit pricey sometimes since they are operated by a different company, but that shouldn't stop you from using the trains at all!
Here are some tips on how you can get cheap train tickets.
1)   Buy in advance of the journey: Don’t wait until the moment you get to the train station and buy your ticket there, last-minute tickets will surely be pricey. Instead, search for deals on the official rail ticketing platform, Trainline! Ideally, it is advised that you should book 12 weeks in advance in order to grab the most ideal tickets for your journey! Deals can be very good sometimes, only £10 for return tickets to/from London from/to Norwich :D.

2)   Get a railcard: Everyone aged 16-25 or mature students can get a railcard for £30 a year or £70. This card will allow you to buy tickets at a discounted rate, saving you up to 1/3 on normal ticket price. Details can be checked on the Trainline website.
Hope this post helps! Happy travelling J
