Holidays are coming!

The temperature's approaching freezing and the library's packed every day, this can only mean one thing, the end of the Autumn Semester and all the stress and eventual relief that comes with that. The last couple of weeks of term can be a stressful time with deadlines, exams and assignments mixed in with the Winter blues and people being ill due to the cold weather.

The shining light at the end of the tunnel is of course the one month of holidays that comes after this and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to either going home and being with their families for Christmas and New Years or travelling or just generally having a break from the stress of last minute essay writing and exam preparation.

The universal sign that the Holidays are coming!!
The best way to deal with the stress and worries that come with the end of term is to not let it take over. Try and do things that aren't to do with school or work for at least a couple of hours a day just to keep your brain fresh and you'll find the ideas flowing much easier. Taking the time to go to the gym, or meet up with friends at the pub or even just to take a walk are all very helpful ways to keep your mind sharp and not get bogged down in stress.

Try and eat regular, healthy meals as well as drinking a lot of water and getting enough sleep. Believe me when I say that while caffeine tablets, Red Bull and Coffee can get you through an all nighter, keeping your body fresh and well rested will make your mind work better, for a longer time.

My number one advise though for not getting worried about final week deadlines and exams is that if it does end up snowing in Norwich before Christmas, get out of the house and play in the snow with your friends/housemates. There is no worry in the world that a good snowball fight will not put to rest.

I hope you all have a great last couple of weeks of term and then a fantastic (much needed for most of us!) Christmas break!!

Best wishes,
