Christmas is coming!
How do we know? Oh well, two weeks ago on Thursday there was an exciting event happening in Norwich and this was: Christmas Lights Switch 2014!!!! Oh my, I can't even express my obsessive excitement when it comes to Christmas..
Undoubtedly, Christmas is one of the most beautiful and celebrated holidays of the year but equally stressful when it comes to buying the perfect presents. Therefore, these are 5 things I like to do in order to stay ahead of the game:

take advantage of the boxing day sales
The day after Christmas is a great time to start Christmas planning for next year’s holiday season. Bargain hunters can usually find store items on sale for up to 75%. Also, start scouring the internet for online money-saving coupons.

make handmade gifts
DIY-crafted presents are the way to go! They are more heartfelt and cherished than anything store bought. Also, instead of buying expensive wrapping paper you can always use plain brown paper and decorate it with a festive ribbon.

save, save, save

Start budgeting and saving for these presents because its only one time a year so - make it count! Also, keep an eye on various sales throughout the year.

make a list and check it twice

Try to notice what your loved ones might need and pay attention to conversations where hints are dropped or a desire for something in particular is expressed.

stock-up on gift cards

When everything else fails, everyone could use a gift card. People appreciate gift cards to use as they see fit. And also you don't have to worry about taking something back to the store because it did not fit or was the wrong colour.
