GREAT Britain Scholarships - India 2015

It is already December, and end of the first term! For undergrads back in India, I imagine that this is the season for college fests and a bit of a breathing time before getting on with university exams and the most grueling affair of our times: applications for postgraduate studies.

I think it's great that UEA has been recently doing a lot of exciting collaborations with organizations in India. If you are interested in literature or activism, do take a look at reports from the first international symposium organized by UEA in Kolkata. Pretty awesome, right?

But what I really wanted to draw your attention to is that is some excellent news for Indian students applying to postgraduate degrees.

The university has recently announced 10 new scholarships!

The scholarships are for postgraduate applicants and have a wide range of subjects:

Energy Engineering

Creative Writing

Humanities (History; Language & Communication; Film & TV)

Law

MBA

Computing

To apply to these generous scholarships, some worth £6000, you will need to hold an offer from UEA (conditional or unconditional) as well as write two short paragraphs answering the following questions:

-What are your reasons for applying to the UEA?
-How would a degree from the UEA help you make a difference in the future?

There are certain eligibility criteria, but they are simple and straightforward. If you are interested in the scholarships, do take a look at the India page over at the UEA website, and you will find all the relevant information under the Scholarship tab.

And remember, if you have any questions regarding student life, studying at UEA, or campus rabbits, please feel free to contact me at indianstudents@uea.ac.uk
