Indonesian Students in Norwich

Last week UEA Indonesian Society and Indonesian Students Association in Norwich held a welcome event. As its name suggests, this welcome event aims to welcome all new Indonesian students that just arrived in the UK (January intake students) and to welcome anyone that recently joined UEA Indonesian Society. This event is actually open to anyone, so anyone can bring their friends. Therefore, not only catch up, but we also make new friends.

What happened that evening was the committee cooked us a very delicious Indonesian traditional meal. We had rice, diced potato and boiled egg cooked in chili, chicken and broccoli which are cooked in Indonesian style. They all were really delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food so much and some of them even went for second round.

While having the dinner, the committee also played some nice Indonesian music to let people coming that night have a bit more understanding about Indonesian music, singer and language.
All of us had a great fun in that evening. Some guys were playing games, some were chit chatting, some girls were taking pictures, some even practised dancing for the Go Global Party which is going to be held at UEA in the next few months.

If you have not joined UEA Indonesian Society, don't worry, you are very welcome to come to our events. You can also join our Facebook group to find out more about what we are doing :)
